J.M. Aylor House

The J.M. Aylor House The J.M. Aylor House is a vernacular Gothic Revival residence of center-hall plan, built to one story. At the main entrance is a stickwork porch; the eaves bear fleur-de-lis bargeboards. Two historic outbuildings remain on the property: a frame gazebo and a caretaker’s house, which also features bargeboard trim. The Aylor family, of German ancestry, came to northern Boone County from Virginia in the early 19th century.

The house was added to the National Register in 1989.
