Lending Policy
Most circulating material may be borrowed for three weeks. New releases or high-demand items may have limited checkout times. M-rated software and R-rated videos and DVDs may only be checked out by patrons over the age of 18.
You may renew books, DVDS, music CDs, and audiobooks twice (in person, by telephone, or through your Patron Account) for an additional period of three weeks each if no one else is waiting for them. Due to high demand, New Releases and Software cannot be renewed.
A service charge is assessed for overdue material. Children's books are $.05 per day. Adult books and all audiovisual materials are $.10 per day.
It is the policy of the Boone County Public Library that parents and guardians, not library staff, are responsible for monitoring and approving the selection of materials made by minor children. Parents or guardians who wish their children not to have access to certain materials should accompany or otherwise advise their children.
