Adult Outreach

We deliver books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, and music CDs to homes, apartments, retirement homes, and other residential care facilities to people unable to visit us in person.

Eligibility

All Boone County residents - regardless of age - are eligible for outreach services if they are unable to visit the Library due to a temporary or permanent physical limitation and to those who lack transportation.

How It Works

Our Outreach Services staff will contact you to discuss the types of materials you like and to make arrangements for delivery. Materials will be delivered and picked-up every four to six weeks until you no longer need this service.

Youth Outreach

The Youth Outreach team brings materials, programs, and services beyond the Library's walls and into the community - with and without the Library Bus. Outreach services are primarily designed to support children from birth to age 5, their caregivers, teachers in child care, preschool, and community settings.

What We Do

We share new and favorite books and songs in Storytime - all based on early literacy research.

We visit several communities throughout Boone County on a monthly basis.

Our Methods

We engage children in high-quality language and learning experiences.

We provide caregivers and teachers with appropriate learning tools, shared information, and supplemental items.
