1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Birth to Start of Kindergarten | All Year!
Young readers can earn milestone badges and prizes as they work towards reading 1,000 books. Progress can be logged in Beanstack or on a printable log. BCPL encourages reading a favorite book multiple times, as each reading counts. For questions, customers can email 1000books@bcpl.org.
Winter Reading
All Ages | January 1 to 31
Readers can start the new year with a reading challenge! For every activity or book logged, they will earn an entry into the prize drawings. Participants should mark each completed activity and track their reading on the back of the page. Maximum of 30 entries.
Prizes include: 2025 prizes coming soon.
Printable logs will be available during the Winter Reading Challenge.
Summer Reading
All Ages | June 1 to July 31
Participants can earn prizes as they log their activities. The more they log, the more chances they have to win a grand prize. All printed logs should be returned to the library or entered in the Beanstack Tracker App by July 31. Participants are encouraged to complete the Summer Reading Survey!
Printable logs will be available during the Summer Reading Challenge.
