About the Board
The Board of Trustees oversees operation of the Boone County Public Library District in accordance with KRS 173.520. The Board includes five Boone County residents who are appointed by the Judge-Executive and approved by the Fiscal Court. Each Board member may serve two four-year terms. The Board sets policy, approves budgets, and oversees the Library Director. Meetings are held at each Branch at least once a year. All other meetings are held at Main Library. All meetings are open to the public.
Chapin Memorial Ad-Hoc Subcommittee
This committee will define both short-term and long-term goals to address evolving needs for the Petersburg community. Trustee Recruitment
The Board of Trustees for Boone County Public Library is accepting applications for volunteer board positions that begin July 2024. Applicants should be dedicated individuals who have a passion for libraries and the ability to advocate effectively for them. Interested individuals must submit an Application for Appointment and attend an informational meeting.
The Library Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 4:00 PM.
