The films and photographs in this video are part of a collection donated to the Boone County Historic Preservation Review Board by Frank S. Milburn’s widow, Dr. Carol Swarts Milburn.
The films were transferred from their original cellulose film in 2005 and include: (1) “The Invenoscope” pilot episode from 1951; (2) the first episode of the “The Invenoscope” which debuted on WCPO-TV on August 3, 1952; (3) and 8mm silent film showing manufacturing techniques. The original production was made possible by a Local History Grant from the Kentucky Historical Society. It is a cooperative production of the Boone County Public Library, Boone County Historic Preservation Review Board, and Boone County Planning Commission. The original production was mastered in 2005 by Robert A. Jonas with Matthew E. Becher and David A. Geohegan.
